Low gravity flyers - done

I finished this a while ago, but I wasn't sure if I was happy with the background. I still don't know if I like it, but apparently I've lost interest in continuing work on it, so I'm calling it done for now and moving onto other things. Graphite on toned paper.

Friday Feature: Douglas Henderson

I'm on a dinosaur kick right now, prehistoric life has always been a huge inspiration for me as a fantasy artist. I think if I had to pick a favorite paleo artist, it would be Douglas Henderson. His images have so much atmosphere and attention to detail.

Friday Feature: Gregory S. Paul

If you enjoy paleo art, or liked dinosaurs much as a child, you're probably familiar with Gregory S. Paul's artwork, I remember his illustrations from one of my favorite dinosaur books growing up. He's still one of my favorite paleo artists, and I recently found him on zazzle, check out some of his beautiful items:

Sorry about the lack or activity!

This place has been pretty dead lately, I have a hard time wanting to do a lot of blogging when I'm not creating new art. I'm currently in the process of moving to a new home, so most of my supplies are boxed up and in the basement of the new place. The good news is, I'll have an actual work area in the new house, until recently I've mostly been working on my computer desk, in the narrow sliver of dessk space available to me when I rudely shove my desktop and keyboard as far back as they'll go. I'm hoping a real work space will help me to increase my art output significantly, there's just a lot of work to be done on the house before we can move in and I can get my space set up. Currently the basement (where my new studio space will be located) seems to be completely uninsulated, so it's extremely cold down there, the lighting fixtures need to be fixed, and the outlets all need to be grounded.

I'm really excited to get this space put together though, I have a few large paintings and I bunch of other stuff I'm hoping to get finished soon.
